Welcome to the Academics Department
We work collaboratively and comprehensively with school leaders, staff, and industry partners to develop engaging learning environments that are centered on increasing student achievement.
It is our goal to engage, embolden, and empower administrators to create a culture of readiness on their campuses. Our team guides and supports student learning by facilitating curriculum development, directing ongoing professional learning opportunities for teachers and administrators, and collaborating with campus leaders to align and enhance instructional practices.
Curriculum & Instruction
Face-to-Face (F2F)
The majority of TCA courses are delivered in a traditional, face-to-face (F2F) learning environment. This method of instruction is interactive, engaging, and is typically the most effective method for content mastery.
All courses utilize curriculum that is aligned to the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) as required by the TEA.
Online Services (OLS)
Students have the opportunity to complete courses using an online platform. Credit recovery courses enable students to earn credits in courses they did not pass the first time around. These courses are comprised of online modules that are aligned to the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS).
OLS is primarily for credit recovery courses, however, a small number of courses are approved for first time completion.
