Austin Can! Academy continues to increase the number of graduates by providing individualized, prescriptive tutoring inside and out of the classroom.

Highly skilled tutors, employed by the school, not only assist the students academically, but also build relationships with students that foster a positive learning environment. This school year, many students that have attended Austin Can! for more than two years passed their TAKS tests and will be graduating. Over 55 students will accomplish their goal of graduation. This will be the largest graduating class in the history of the school.

This number of graduates is largely due to the students who are exit level TAKS retesters; or students that have failed the exit level TAKS tests one or more times before they came to us. These students are the primary student group who utilized the prescriptive tutoring offered through Austin Can! to complete their classes and gain the knowledge and skills needed to pass the TAKS test. Their ability to pass the TAKS tests and graduate in June is a direct result of the tutoring they received at our campus.

For the March 2010 retest, students attending tutorial sessions increased an average of 81 scale score points in Science, 51 Scale score points in Math. This testing resulted in the most number of students passing the science and math tests in the school''s history.
