AYP Coordinator Ft. Worth Full Time Posted on 8/19/2010 | Primary Purpose: The School Improvement Specialist will govern and lead the school within a school academy by building leadership capacity. They will guide the campus through the School Improvement Process with the responsibilities of implementing the School Improvement Process requirements set forth by NCLB. They will assist in the coordination of the revising and implement of the Campus Improvement Plan to increase student performance and participation on all state assessments and increase graduation rate.

Valid Texas Teacher Certification.
Special Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of Accountability Standards (Performance Based Monitoring, School Improvement, and NCLB Programs) Knowledge of Standards (AYP, AEIS) Knowledge of Site Based Decision Making Knowledge of the planning, implementation, and evaluation of Campus Improvement Plan process Extensive knowledge of the TEKS Ability to interpret policy, procedures, and data Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Strong consultation skills for conferencing with staff
Experience: Three years secondary campus level experience Experience working with at risk population Demonstrated experience of knowledge of school improvement
